The Hot Girl Summer Tour is the first headlining concert tour by Megan Thee Stallion, in support for her third studio album, releasing 2024. The tour began in May 14, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at Target Center and will conclude at July 27, 2024 in Washington, D.C at the Broccoli City Festival. The concert tour will be across various cities in the United States and across Europe. Cities were announced on March 13, 2024. Dates were announced on March 20, 2024.[1][2] Citi's cardmembers had early pre-sale. General admission tickets was released to the public March 22, 2024.
Background[]
After the release of her single "Hiss", Megan announced in February 2024 she would be touring 2024 in support of her album. In a interview with Good Morning America, the artist said "Oh, we’re having the tour this year. The Hot Girl Summer Tour is gonna be 2024 summer time. I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside during my early days during the summer since 2019. So this is gonna be the first time that I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the Hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”[3]
The following month on March 12, Megan would proceed to tease the tour with an animated snake video.[4] The next day, Megan would proceed announce the tour officially. Megan posted to her social channels the various cities the tour will visit. The artist stated dates would be out March 20.[5][6] Dates were announced and Citi's cardmembers had early pre-sale starting same day. Pre-sale started March 21, and general public sales started March 22. Megan announced a new date will be added to the tour, with the city being San Francisco at the Chase Center.
Ticket sales[]
On the same day as general public sales, the dates for Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Atlanta, Tampa, Dallas, and Houston were all sold out within a few hours. Second dates were added to Chicago, Atlanta, and Houston due to high demand. On the second day of general sales, the dates for Raleigh, Austin, and Los Angeles were all sold out. By April 2024, 17 out of 34 dates were sold out.
